RESOLUTION NO. 170163

 

Honoring Ashlea Blue, Tracey Bradford, Colleen Doctorian, Andrea Dorch and Greta Wills for their service to the Kansas City community and achieving the Gold Level in the President’s Volunteer Service Award Program.

 

WHEREAS, in 2016 these five employees volunteered for more than five hundred hours each and cumulatively volunteered for more than two-thousand eight hundred hours; and

 

WHEREAS, the President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes United States citizens and permanent residents of the United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a twelve-month time period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime; and

 

WHEREAS, as part of the City of Kansas City, Missouri Business Plan to promote and encourage volunteerism, the City became a Certifying Partner for this Award; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby extend to Ashlea Blue for her volunteer work with the American Contract Compliance Association, Tracey Bradford for her volunteer work with St. Louis Catholic Church, Colleen Doctorian for her volunteer work with Boy Scout Troop 1354, Andrea Dorch for her volunteer work with the Way International & Exousia Youth Foundation and Greta Wills for her volunteer work with W.E.B. DuBois Learning Center; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to each of the above with the Mayor and Council’s heartiest best wishes for their dedicated service and admiration for their many hours of volunteering in the community.
