ORDINANCE NO. 000696
Authorizing execution of a
Preservation and Conservation Facade Easement for the property located at 3200
Norledge Street in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and transferring the
easement to the Landmarks Historic Trust Corporation for a total fee of
$10,000.00 subject to the sale of such property; and directing the City Clerk
to record certain documents with the appropriate offices.
WHEREAS, in the
interest of protecting and maintaining the building, commonly known as the
Kansas City Museum Annex, the Council stated its intent to transfer the facade
easement to the Landmarks Historic Trust Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the
transfer of the facade easement will assist in the preservation and maintenance
of the Kansas City Museum Annex; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY
THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
the Director of the City Development Department, on behalf of Kansas City,
Missouri, is hereby authorized to execute a Preservation and Conservation
Facade Easement to transfer the facade easement on the property located at 3200
Norledge Street to the Landmarks Historic Trust Corporation for a total fee of
$10,000.00 subject to the sale of the property. A copy of the Easement, in substantial
form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.
Section 2. That
the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of the Easement, together
with this ordinance, in the office of the Secretary of State and the office of
the Department of Records of Jackson County, Missouri.
