ORDINANCE NO. 091018

 

Authorizing execution of a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Independence, Missouri, for weatherization services in the amount of $55,000.00

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to enter into a cooperative agreement with the City of Independence, Missouri in the amount of $55,000.00 for the purpose of providing low-income weatherization assistance to customers of Independence Power & Light.

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the Special Housing Rehabilitation Loan Fund is estimated by the following amount:

10-6380-550001-481281 IPL Home Weatherization Grant $55,000.00

Section 3. That the appropriation in the following account of the Special Housing Rehabilitation Loan Fund is increased by the following amount:

10-6380-555805-A IPL Home Weatherization $ 7,500.00

10-6380-555805-B IPL Home Weatherization 47,500.00

TOTAL $55,000.00

 Section 4. That the Director of Housing and Community Development Department is designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 10-6380-555805.

  I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
