ORDINANCE NO. 051149

 

Changing and re-establishing the grade on portions of Lydia Avenue for the Bridger Bridge over Indian Creek, from Bannister Road to Mews Drive, all in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

 

WHEREAS, the Council further finds that, pursuant to Article VII of the Charter of Kansas City, it adopted Resolution No. 041167 on November 9th, 2004, declaring it to be necessary to establish the grades on Lydia Avenue. from the south curb line of Bannister Road as it now exists, to a point 365 feet north of the north curb line of Mews Drive, as it now exists, all in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, publication for said grade change began on November 12, 2004 and ended on November 22, 2004, with the period for remonstrance ending on December 13, 2004 and there being no remonstrance filed; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Council finds and declares it to be necessary to change and re-establish the grade on Lydia Avenue for the Bridger Bridge over Indian Creek, as it now exists, from a point on the South curb line of Bannister Road, as it now exists, to a point 365 feet North of the North curb of Mews Drive, as it now exists, all in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri in accordance with the provisions of Section 224, Article VII of the Charter of Kansas City, and as shown on the plans on file in the Office of the Director of Public Works, locating and defining the adjacent grade points on said street, on the baseline of the roadway, which shall be connected by straight grades (tangents) or vertical curves between such grade points, the elevations of which are herein given below in feet above the City directrix as follows, to-wit:

All grade points are on Baseline 2 Stations for said right-of-way as found on plan file No. 2004-166 in the office of the Director of Public Works. Baseline 1 is the original centerline of Lydia Avenue and baseline 2 is the baseline of relocated Lydia Avenue. Station 50 + 40.27 of baseline 2 equals station 50+40.27, of baseline 1.

Elevation

Lydia Avenue

At a point on baseline 2, 0 feet South of the South line of

Bannister Road, being station 50 + 40.27. 78.10

 

Except that the grade planes meeting at station 50 + 50.00

shall be connected by a vertical curve 160 feet in length.

 

At a point on baseline 2, 9.73 feet South of the South line of

Bannister Road, being station 50 + 50.00 PVC. 77.50


At a point on baseline 2; 89.73 feet South of the South line of

Bannister Road, being station 51+30 PVI 76.84

 

At a point on baseline 2, 169.73 feet South of the South line of

Bannister Road, being station 52 + 10.00 PVT. 79.62

 

Except that the grade planes meeting at station 50 + 50.00

shall be connected by a vertical curve having tangents 10 feet

in length.

 

Lydia Avenue continued

 

Except that the grade planes meeting at station 56 + 00.00

shall be connected by a vertical curve 350 feet in length.

 

At a point on baseline 2, 559.73 feet South of the South line of

Bannister Avenue, being station 56 + 00.00 PVC. 93.19

 

At a point on baseline 2; 734.73 feet South of the South line of

Bannister Avenue, being station 57+75 PVI. 99.28

 

At a point on baseline 2, 909.73 feet South of the South line of

Bannister Road, being station 59+ 50.00 PVT. 114.12

 

Except that the grade planes meeting at station 56 + 00.00

shall be connected by a vertical curve having tangents 10 feet

in length.

 

At a point on baseline 2, 949.73 feet South of the South line of

Bannister Road ending station 59 + 90.00 match existing. 117.42

 

This resolution is recommended for approval by the Director of Public Works.
