ORDINANCE NO. 091061

 

Reducing and re-appropriating funds in the amount of $103,000.00 from the Waste Minimization Services program in the General Fund to the Residential Refuse Collection program in the General Fund to cover cost associated with a Waste Management Software Contract.

 

WHEREAS, the City made changes to purchase waste management software to improve its current routes, minimize travel time, provide real-time fleet tracking, balance workload among vehicles and reduce fuel, maintenance cost and existing routes; and

 

WHEREAS, the City will incur unbudgeted costs totaling $103,000.00 for the expense associated with a contract; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

  Section 1. That the appropriation in the following account of the General Fund is hereby reduced by the following amount:

 

10-1000-892320-B Waste Minimization Services $103,000.00

 

Section 2. That the appropriation in the following account of the General Fund is hereby increased by the following amount:

 

10-1000-892301-B Residential Refuse Collection $103,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
