COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 991443

Estimating revenue in the amount of $300,000.00 in the Police Grants Fund and appropriating it to the COPS Meth Initiative account of the Police Grants Fund for expenditures related to the COPS Methamphetamine Initiative Grant; and recognizing an emergency.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the revenue in the following account in the Police Grants Fund is estimated in the following additional amount:

00-239-021-7639 COPS Meth Initiative $300,000.00

Section 2. That the sum of $300,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Police Grants Fund to the following accounts in the Police Grants Fund:

00-239-021-2709-A COPS Meth Initiative $ 59,364.00

00-239-021-2709-B COPS Meth Initiative 109,820.00

00-239-021-2709-C COPS Meth Initiative 51,816.00

00-239-021-2709-E COPS Meth Initiative 79,000.00

TOTAL $300,000.00

Section 3. That this ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 15 of the Charter and takes effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
