ORDINANCE NO. 950740

 

Authorizing agreements between Kansas City and Good Samaritan Project, Inc., to provide case management services to persons with HIV/AIDS, for a one year period, in the amount of $187,000.00 from funds previously appropriated.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That an agreement between Kansas City, Missouri and the Good Samaritan Project, Inc., whereby Good Samaritan will provide case management services to persons with HIV/AIDS, for the period of May 1, 1995 through April 30, 1996, for which the City will provide $35,000.00 in funds previously appropriated in Account No. 96-100-050-2420-B, is hereby authorized. A copy of the agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That an agreement between Kansas City, Missouri and the Good Samaritan Project, Inc., whereby Good Samaritan will provide case management services to persons with HIV/AIDS, for the period of April 1, 1995 through March 31, 1996, for which the City will provide $152,000.00 in funds previously appropriated in Account No. 96-100-050-2421-B, is hereby authorized. A copy of the agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
