ORDINANCE NO. 060875

 

Authorizing a $997,781.48 contract with Collins & Hermann, Inc., for Wayfinding sign project Phase II; and authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $1,075,782.00 for the project.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the work of installing Wayfinding signs in Plaza & Westport District, Crown Center District, 18th & Vine District, Crossroads Arts District, and River District as part of the Wayfinding signs Phase II, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, Project No. 89004352, is hereby provided for and authorized.

 

Section 2. That the work shall be done in accordance with the plans, specifications and the contract in the amount of $997,781.48. A copy of the contract is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works and is incorporated herein by reference

 

Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $1,075,782.00 from funds previously appropriated to the account as follows:

 

AL-3390-897259-B-89004352 Wayfinding Signs-Phase II $ 475,782.00

AL-3391-897259-B-89004352 Wayfinding Signs-Phase II 600,000.00

TOTAL $1,075,782.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
