Rezoning an area of approximately
5.83 acres generally located on the north side of N.E. 72nd Street,
approximately 200 feet west of N. Brighton Avenue, from District RA to District
R-2a. (12520-P-8)
BE IT ORDAINED BY
THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That
Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly
known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to
be known as Section 80-11A0647, rezoning an area of approximately 5.83 acres
generally on the north side of N.E. 72nd Street, approximately 200
feet west of N. Brighton Avenue, from District RA (Agricultural) to District
R-2a (Two-Family Dwellings), said section to read as follows:
Section 80-11A0647. That an area
legally described as:
Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 51,
Range 32, Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, described as follows: Beginning
at a point on the South line of said quarter-section, 210.00 feet West of the
Southeast corner thereof; thence North 8910'38" West, along the South
line of the quarter-section, 540.22 feet; thence North 0023'22" East,
470.00 feet; thence South 8910'38" East, 540.22 feet; thence South
0023'22" West, 470.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 5.83 acres.
is hereby rezoned from District
RA (Agricultural) to District R-2a (Two-Family Dwellings), all as shown
outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0647, which is attached hereto and made
a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the
zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section
80-11 thereof.
Section B. That
the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed
amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning
Ordinance have been given and had.
