ORDINANCE NO. 100149

 

Accepting and approving a $51,381.00 contract amendment with Truman Medical Center, Inc. to provide additional case management services to eligible clients in the Kansas City Transitional Grant Area who meet Ryan White Title I guidelines and declaring an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That a contract amendment between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and Truman Medical Center, Inc, acting through its Executive Director, whereby Truman Medical Center will provide case management services to eligible clients in the Kansas City Transitional Grant Area (TGA) for the period of March 1, 2007 through July 31, 2010, for a total amount not to exceed $1,011,867.00, to be paid from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 10-2730-505003-B, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the amendment, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That this ordinance is declared an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503(a)(2) of the City Charter in that it relates to the immediate preservation of the public health, and shall take effect in accordance with that section

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
