ORDINANCE NO. 910707
To change and re-establish the grade on 51st Street from
the east line of Cleveland Avenue to a point 241.00 feet east of the east line
Cleveland Avenue in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the grade on 51st Street from the
east line of Cleveland to a point 241.00 feet east of the east line of
Cleveland in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, be and the same is hereby
changed, determined and re-established, along a line on the centerline of said
street located and defined by the below listed adjacent grade points, the
elevations of which are herein set out in feet above the City directrix and
which shall be connected by straight grades (tangents) or vertical curves, all
as shown on the plans which are on file in the office of Kansas City's Director
of Public Works and which are incorporated herein by reference, to wit:
At a point on the east right of way line of Cleveland
Avenue 104.72
At a point 56 feet east of the east right of way line of
Cleveland Avenue 104.00
At a point 146 feet east of the east right of way line of
Cleveland Avenue 96.50
Except that the grade planes meeting at a point 56
feet east of the east right of way line of Cleveland Avenue shall be
connected by a vertical curve having tangents 56 feet in length.
At a point 241 feet east of the east right of way line of
Cleveland Avenue 91.26
Except that the grade planes meeting at a point 146
feet east of the east right of way line of Cleveland Avenue shall be
connected by a vertical curve having tangents 29 feet in length.
Section 2. That the Council finds and declares that
the resolution required by Section 224, of Article VII, of Kansas City's
Charter, declaring the grade change herein described to be necessary, has been
published as therein required, and that resident owners of Kansas City who own
a majority in front feet of the lands belonging to resident owners fronting on
the part of the 51st Street which is to be improved, have not filed with the
City Clerk a remonstrance against the proposed change.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are, insofar as they conflict with
this ordinance, hereby repealed.
This ordinance is recommended for approval by the
Director of Public Works.
