ORDINANCE NO. 110995

 

Reducing and increasing appropriations in the Capital Improvements Fund in the amount of $40,000.00 for Project No. 87000112-Block 112 Improvements; and recognizing and emergency.

 

WHEREAS, Kansas City, Missouri will host the 83rd Major League Baseball All-Star game on July 10, 2012; and

WHEREAS, the City desires to make certain improvements in advance of this high-profile event; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the following account is reduced in the following amount:

 

12-3090-648027-B-64007230 Town of Kansas $40,000.00

Section 2. That $40,000.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvements Fund to the following account in the Capital Improvements Fund:

 

12-3090-878044-B-87000112 Block 112 Parking Lot

Improvements $40,000.00

Section 3. That the funds borrowed from Account No. 12-3090-648027-B-64007230 will be repaid in the amount of $40,000.00 from surplus license fees.

 

Section 4. That this ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503 of the City Charter in that it appropriates money, and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
