Authorizing a one year $262,000.00 contract with the University Physician Associates to provide a medical director for the Citys Emergency Medical Services Program.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That an agreement between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the University Physician Associates, acting through its Executive Director, to provide a medical director for the Citys Emergency Medical Services Program for the period beginning May 01, 2005 through April 30, 2006, for an amount not to exceed $262,000.00, to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 06-2330-501140-B, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
