RESOLUTION NO. 160815

Recognizing the achievements of Sheldon Trieb and Ironworkers Local 10.

WHEREAS, the International Apprenticeship Competition is done each year to test the skills of Ironworkers throughout the U.S. and Canada; and

WHEREAS, many competitors came from across the United States and Canada to compete in Houston, Texas, on September 30th and October 1st; and

WHEREAS, Sheldon Trieb, a member of Ironworkers Local 10, participated in the International Apprenticeship Competition, and took first place out of 65 competitors, in the Column Climb Contest with a time of 6.3 seconds; and

WHEREAS, his performance stands as an example of the skills and dedication of Ironworkers from the Kansas City area; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Mayor and Council hereby recognize the achievement of Sheldon Trieb; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to the Sheldon Trieb and Ironworkers Local 10 with the appreciation of the Mayor and Council for the hard work being done by its members.
