ORDINANCE NO. 180585

 

Authorizing a contract with Gunter Construction for $1,464,269.50 for the replacement of the current fueling station at the Municipal Service Center at 5300 Municipal Avenue; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of General Services is authorized to execute a contract with Gunter Construction Company in the amount of $1,464,269.50 for construction of scope including removal of the existing fueling station and all related equipment and replace with new tanks, dispensers, and provide a covered area for fueling of City vehicles. A copy of the contract is on file in the General Services Department.

 

Section 2. That the Director of the General Services Department is hereby authorized to amend this contract in an amount not to exceed $290,000.00 without further authorization of the City Council, for a total contract authorization of $1,754,269.50, from funds previously appropriated to Account No. AL-3437-079706-B.

 

Section 3. That this ordinance relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the Charter, and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

 

 

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
