ORDINANCE NO. 000642

Authorizing a $15,000.00 increase in the authorized expenditure to Contract No. 990028 with Wilson Plumbing Co., Inc., for storm sewer improvements on Main Street from 89th Street to 89th Terrace.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 991125, passed September 9, 1999, the Council authorized a contract with Wilson Plumbing Co., Inc., in the amount of $113,392.00 with an authorized expenditure of $139,731.20; and

WHEREAS, during the course of the work, the need for additional construction to accommodate the abutting property owners has come to light; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the additional sum of $15,000.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 01-309-089-6400-T for contingencies on Contract No. 990028 to complete the additional construction approved by Ordinance No. 991125, passed September 9, 1999.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
