ORDINANCE NO. 020078

Reducing an appropriation in the Water Fund in the amount of $464,415.00 and appropriating it to an account in the Water Fund for arbitrage rebate payment; designating requisitioning authority; authorizing the expenditure of funds from appropriations in the Water Fund; and recognizing an emergency.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the appropriation in the following account of the Water Fund is hereby reduced in the following amount:

02-801-080-9600-G Debt Service $464,415.00

Section 2. That the sum of $464,415.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Water Fund to the following account:

02-801-080-9690-G Arbitrage Rebate Payment $464,415.00

Section 3. That the Director of Water Services Department is hereby designated as the requisitioning authority for Account No. 02-801-080-9690-G and is authorized to expend these funds for arbitrage rebate payment.

Section 4. That this ordinance making provision for payment of current expense of the City is recognized as an emergency measure within the meaning of Section 15 of the Charter and takes effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
