RESOLUTION NO. 040409

 

Directing the City Manager to develop a plan for preventing the City from contracting with a company or individuals who violate City ordinances in the performance of their contracts with the City.

 

WHEREAS, it has come to the Councils attention that a company with a City contract for construction of curbs and sidewalks unlawfully dumped debris from those construction sites in an unlawful demolition debris landfill; and

 

WHEREAS, existing City procedures do not prevent that unlawful dumping from occurring; NOW THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL:

 

That the City Manager is hereby directed to report back to the Council within sixty days what new processes or procedures he intends to put into place to keep such occurrences from happening in the future.
