RESOLUTION NO. 050279

 

Recognizing graduates of the Brownfield Minority Worker Training Program.

 

WHEREAS, on February 19, 2005, graduation ceremonies were held for individuals who completed certificates in accordance with standards established by the National Institute of Environmental and Health Hazards Waste Operations and Emergency Response; and

 

WHEREAS, these individuals received education in a number of specialized areas, including Lead and Asbestos Abatement, Hazardous Materials Handling, Mold Remediation and OSHA Safety Standards and Regulations; and

 

WHEREAS, the following people earned certificates: Ronald Stumph, Travis Thomas, Andr Shelby, West Scott, Marcus Sanchez, Laron President, Robert Milton, Terry Martin, Anthony Franklin, and Anthony Alford; and

 

WHEREAS, these graduates are to be applauded for their achievement. It is the desire of the members of this Council that the aforementioned people find success in their future careers; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council salute the graduates and all who have made the Brownfield Minority Worker Training Program successful; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that copies hereof be presented to the graduates and to the many people who have made this program possible.
