ORDINANCE NO. 900611
Authorizing a contract in the amount of $135,400.00
with Tuttle-Ayers-Woodward Company for engineering services in connection with
design of sanitary sewer improvements for Sewer District 1114 in Sewer Division
20; and appropriating $135,400.00 from the Sewer Special Assessment Fund to the
project account.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is
hereby authorized to enter into and execute on behalf of the City an Agreement
with Tuttle-Ayers-Woodward Company, a division of Shafer, Kline & Warren,
P.A., for engineering services in connection with sanitary sewer improvements,
Maple Park - Sanitary Sewer District No. 1114 in Sewer Division 20, Kansas
City, Missouri,
Phase A: Engineering Design Phase B: Construction
Observation
in Kansas City, Missouri, Council District No. 1, Project
No. 3292. The said agreement shall be essentially in the form which is
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2. That the sum of $135,400.00 is hereby
appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Sewer Special
Assessment Fund, Account No. 201-810, to the following account in the Sewer
Special Assessment Fund:
201-531K Sanitary Sewer District No. 1114
$135,400.00
Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is
hereby designated as the requisitioning authority for Account 201-531 and is
authorized to expend the said sum as and for consideration in the aforesaid
agreement.
Section 4. That upon construction of the sewer
system designed under the contract the design contract costs shall be specially
assessed against the benefitted properties in accordance with Article VIII of
the Kansas City Charter as hereafter provided by ordinance and the proceeds
from such assessments shall be returned to the Sewer Special Assessment Fund.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise
unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing
expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in
the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each
sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
