RESOLUTION NO. 010471
Honoring
Gary Randy McGee, Engineering Technician III for the Public Works Department,
Engineering Division for his 29 1/2 years of professionalism and dedication, to
the Engineering Division of the City of Kansas City, Missouri.
WHEREAS,
Randy McGee has announced his retirement from the City of Kansas City, Missouri
after 29 1/2 years of service to the City; and
WHEREAS,
since beginning his service with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, on November
8, 1971, Randy has served 9 years with the Public Works Department Engineering
Construction Survey; 4 years with the Water Department Engineering Survey; 7
years with Public Works Department Street and Traffic Utility Cuts Section; and
10 years with the Public Works Department Engineering Construction Inspection.
Randy has been a confident, helpful and dedicated City employee that all who
have worked with him have enjoyed and greatly appreciated; and
WHEREAS,
Randy McGee, Engineering Technician, participated and is certified by the
National Institute for Certification of Engineering Technicians; and
WHEREAS,
Randy McGee served the community as a Martial Arts Instructor for 14 years; and
WHEREAS,
Randy McGee has worked on a myriad of development, expansion and renovation
projects as the Project Inspector, including the 1991 Downtown Sidewalk
Renovation and the N.E. 41st and N. Cherry Major Storm Drainage Renovation
projects; and
WHEREAS,
Randy McGee has been recognized as the Engineering Division Field Employee of
the Month four times and received an exceptional service award in March, 1997;
and
WHEREAS,
Randy McGee is retiring from the Kansas City Public Works Department,
Engineering Division; will have the opportunity to spend time with his lovely
wife Gloria, and his daughter Leah, now 16 years of age, who have been
supportive of him throughout his long career with the City of Kansas City,
Missouri; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE
IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That
the Mayor and Council hereby honor and commend Gary Randy McGee for his
29 1/2 years of dedicated professional service to the City of Kansas City,
Missouri; and
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the
Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to him in
token of the appreciation of the Mayor and Council for a job well done.
