COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 100976

 

Reestimating revenue in the Motor Fuel Tax Fund; adjusting appropriations in the General Fund; authorizing a $770,000.00 agreement with Jackson County, Missouri to be used to improve certain roads and bridges in Jackson County Missouri, within Kansas City Missouri; authorizing a $1,530,000.00 agreement with the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority to be used in connection with the Harry S. Truman Sports Complex; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the revenue estimate in the following account of the Motor Fuel Tax Fund is increased in the following amount:

 

11-2060-120000-480160 Contribution from Jackson County $770,000.00

 

Section 2. That the revenue estimate in the following account of the Motor Fuel Tax Fund is reduced in the following amount:

 

11-2060-120000-501000 Transfer from the General Fund $770,000.00

 

Section 3. That the appropriation in the following account of the General Fund is reduced in the following amount:

 

11-1000-129998-902060 Transfer to the Motor Fuel Tax Fund $770,000.00

 

Section 4. That the appropriation in the following account of the General Fund is increased in the following amount:

 

11-1000-897701-B Street Preservation $770,000.00

 

Section 5. That the City Manager, on behalf of the City, is authorized to execute a contract with Jackson County, Missouri in the amount of $770,000.00 for the allocation and expenditure on roads and bridges to be improved in Jackson County, Missouri, within Kansas City, Missouri, from funds appropriated to Account No. 11-1000-897701-B.

 

Section 6. That the City Manager, on behalf of the City, is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement in the amount of $1,530,000.00 with the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority for the capital maintenance, repair and improvement of the Harry S. Truman Sports Complex from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 11-1000-672200-B. The agreement is approved, in substantial form, as that attached to this ordinance.

 

Section 7. That this ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503 of the City Charter in that it appropriates money, and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
