ORDINANCE NO.960337

 

Establishing the LCRA Series 1995A Lease Revenue Bond Fund; estimating revenue and appropriating $500,000.00 in the LCRA Series 1995A Lease Revenue Bond Fund; estimating revenue and appropriating $29,260.00 in the Municipal Auditorium User Fee Fund; authorizing a contract with Devine deFlon Yaeger Architects, Inc. for design and construction administration services for modifications and improvements to the Municipal Auditorium; designating requisitioning authority; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Fund No. 361, LCRA Series 1995A Lease Revenue Bond Fund is established in the records of the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

 

Section 2. That the revenue in the following accounts of the LCRA Series 1995A Lease Revenue Bond Fund is estimated in the following amounts:

 

96-361-012-9000 Proceeds from Sale of Bonds $500,000.00 96-361-012-9240 Transfer from Municipal Auditorium User Fee Fund 29,260.00 $529,260.00

 

Section 3. That the sum of $529,260.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the LCRA Series 1995A Lease Revenue Bond Fund to the following account:

 

96-361-089-7747T Municipal Auditorium Arena Remodeling $529,260.00

 

Section 4. That the revenue in the following account of the Municipal Auditorium User Fee Fund is estimated in the following additional amount:

 

96-632-063-5711 Municipal Auditorium User Fees $ 29,260.00

 

Section 5. That the sum of $29,260.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Municipal Auditorium User Fee Fund to the following account:

 

96-632-012-9032B Transfer to LCRA Series 1995A Lease Revenue $ 29,260.00 Bond Fund

 

Section 6. The Director of Public Works is authorized to execute a contract with Devine deFlon Yaeger Architects, Inc. for design work for remodeling the Municipal Auditorium which is provided for and authorized. The work will be done in accordance with the plans, specifications and the contracts therefor between Kansas City, Missouri, through its Director of Public Works, and Devine deFlon Yaeger Architects, Inc. in the amount of $529,260.00 for modifications and improvements to Convention and Entertainment Centers, which contract is approved and confirmed in substantial form as the contract on file in the office of the Director of Public Works.

 

Section 7. That the Director of Public Works is designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 96-361-089-7747 and the Director of Finance is designated requisitioning authority for Account No. 96-632-012-9032B.

 

Section 8. That this ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 15, Article II of the Charter of Kansas City and takes effect immediately upon passage.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
