ORDINANCE NO. 900829

 

Authorizing a $10,000.00 contract with the Clay-Platte Baseball League, Inc. for children's baseball activities from the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund.

WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund Committee was established to review proposals and funding requests for Neighborhood Tourist Development Funds and to make recommendations to the City Council on the disbursement of said funds; and

 

WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund Committee has held public meetings and hearings to develop its operating procedures and to consider proposals from neighborhood organizations; and

 

WHEREAS, at its December 10, 1990, public hearing, the Committee determined that six proposals should be recommended for funding; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council adopts the recommendations of the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund Committee and approves funding for the proposals as set forth herein; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services is hereby authorized to execute a $10,000.00 contract with the Clay-Platte Baseball League, Inc. to support children's baseball league activities from Neighborhood Tourist Development Funds previously appropriated to Activity No. 35-95312-B (First Council District), which contract is hereby approved in substantial form as that attached hereto.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
