RESOLUTION NO. 050966

Approving the appointment of Melody Crawford and the reappointment of Vincent Vitale and Charles Schmelzer III as members of the Board of Commissioners to administer the Westport Special Business District.

WHEREAS, the Westport Special Business District was established by the City Council of Kansas City, Missouri, in Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 61292 on August 13, 1987; and

WHEREAS, seven (7) members were appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council to such Board to serve staggered four (4) year terms; and

WHEREAS, one vacancy now exists on said Board; and

WHEREAS, the terms of Vincent Vitale and Charles Schmelzer III have expired; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section A. That the Council hereby consents to the appointment by the Mayor of the following individual as a representative of owners of real property within the district to serve as a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Westport Special Business District for the following term or until a successor is appointed:

Melody Crawford

Term Expiring: August 24, 2007

Section B. That the Council hereby consents to the reappointment by the Mayor of the following individuals as a representative of owners of real property within the district to serve as members of the Board of Commissioners of the Westport Special Business District for the following term or until a successor is appointed:

Vincent Vitale

Term Expiring: August 24, 2009

Charles Schmelzer III

Term Expiring: August 24, 2009
