ORDINANCE NO. 160609

 

Authorizing an eleven year Lease Agreement with VML, Inc., for office space at Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to enter into an approximately eleven year Lease Agreement with VML, Inc., for 97,679 square feet of office space at Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport. A copy of the agreement is on file in the Aviation Department.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to pay a leasing commission to CBRE, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $700,000.00, from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 17-8300-621040-611020-B.

 

Section 3. That the Director of Aviation is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, such documents, contracts, leases, certificates and instruments, as may be necessary or desirable to carry out and comply with the intent of this ordinance and to implement the transaction(s) contemplated.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
