ORDINANCE NO. 940135

Authorizing an amendment to the 1991 Water Purchase Agreement between Kansas City, Missouri and the City of Blue Springs, Missouri.

WHEREAS, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 910744 on June 27, 1991, authorizing a Water Purchase Agreement between Kansas City, Missouri and the City of Blue Springs; and

WHEREAS, the City of Blue Springs desires to increase its present contractual limit of water purchased from Kansas City; and

WHEREAS, Kansas City, Missouri and the City of Blue Springs are willing to share in the costs relative to the necessary construction of water facilities to accommodate the increase of water purchased by the City of Blue Springs; NOW THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Water and Pollution Control is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of City, an amendment to the 1991 Water Purchase Agreement between Kansas City, Missouri and the City of Blue Springs. The amendment shall be in a form substantially as that attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference. _____________________________________________
