Accepting and approving a
$121,455.00 contract amendment with Good Samaritan Project to provide
additional case management services to eligible clients in the Kansas City
Transitional Grant Area who meet Ryan White Part A guidelines.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
a contract amendment between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through
its Director of Health, and Good Samaritan Project, acting through its
Executive Director, whereby Good Samaritan Project will provide additional case
management services to eligible clients in the Kansas City Transitional Grant
Area (TGA) for the period of April 1, 2010 through February 28, 2011, for an
additional amount not to exceed $121,455.00, to be paid from funds previously appropriated
in Account No. 11-2730-505003-B, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of
the amendment, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof
by reference.
Section
2. That the Director is hereby authorized to extend the term of this contract
without further Council approval; that the Director is also hereby authorized
to amend this contract to increase or decrease the total contract dollar amount
contingent upon the need and availability of appropriated funds.

I hereby certify that
there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation
to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance,
otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which
payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
