ORDINANCE NO. 010646

 

Authorizing an agreement with Deffenbaugh Disposal Services, Inc., for the collection and marketing of recyclables from the Citys drop-off recycling center sites for one year beginning May 1, 2001, and authorizing the Director of Environmental Management to expend an amount not to exceed $128,088.00 in previously appropriated funds.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Environmental Management is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City, to enter into an agreement with Deffenbaugh Disposal Services, Inc., for the collection and marketing of recyclables from the Citys drop-off recycling center sites for the period of May 1, 2001 through April 30, 2002. The agreement shall be essentially in the form which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Environmental Management is hereby authorized to expend therefore a sum not to exceed $128,088.00 from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 02-100-085-2220-B for that agreement.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
