ORDINANCE NO. 190289

 

Authorizing Change Order No. 1 with Amino Brothers Co., Inc., in the amount of $96,004.78 for the Marlborough Public Infrastructure project; authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter into contract changes up to and including fifteen percent (15%) of the original contract price; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Public Works Department is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $96,004.78 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. AL-3518-898404-B-89020329, Marlborough Public Infrastructure Project, with Amino Brothers Co., Inc., in connection with the construction and/or replacement of existing curbs, sidewalks, and driveways for a total contract amount of $1,355,236.71. A copy of the change order is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is authorized to enter into contract changes up to and including fifteen percent (15%) of the original contract price for related work.

 

Section 3. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503 of the City Charter.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
