ORDINANCE NO. 960245
Accepting and approving a $100,000.00 one year contract
with the Missouri Department of Health for the City to provide infant mortality
reduction activities; establishing a revenue account; and appropriating said
sum.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. Accepting and approving a contract
between the City, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri
Department of Health, acting through its Director of Administration, whereby
the State will provide funding in the amount of $100,000.00 for infant
mortality reduction activities in the City for one year beginning October 1,
1995 to September 30, 1996. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is
attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.
Section 2. That the following revenue account is
hereby established in the General Fund and the same be estimated in the
following amount:
96-100-050-7417 96 Infant Mortality Reduction
$100,000.00
Section 3. That the following appropriation account
is hereby established in the General Fund and the same be established in the
following amount:
96-100-050-2141B Infant Mortality
Reduction $100,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise
unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing
expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in
the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each
sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
