ORDINANCE NO. 150573

 

Estimating revenue in the amount of $582,911.42 and appropriating funds in the amount of $175,000.00 in the HOME Investment Fund and recognizing an accelerated effective date.

 

WHEREAS, during the Fiscal Year 2015 year-end closing process, $407,911.42 of uncollected HOME Investment Fund HUD grants were not re-estimated as revenue in Fiscal Year 2016; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That revenue is estimated to the HOME Investment Fund in the following amount:

16-2940-570001-476050-G57HOME14 HUD Grants $407,911.42

16-2940-570001-476050-G57HOME14 HUD Grants 175,000.00

TOTAL $582,911.42

 

Section 2. That $175,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the HOME Investment Fund to the following account of the HOME Investment Fund:

 

16-2940-575326-B-G57HOME14 Housing Services $175,000.00

 

Section 3. This ordinance is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(C) of the City Charter in that it appropriates money, and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503, City Charter.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
