ORDINANCE NO. 971389

Accepting and approving a one year $80,000.00 contract with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to provide funding for asbestos abatement services.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That a contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the State of Missouri, Department of Natural Resources, acting through its Director, whereby the State will provide funding for asbestos abatement services, for the period of July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998, for an amount not to exceed $80,000.00, is hereby accepted and approved. The contract shall substantially conform to the contract copy which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
