ORDINANCE NO. 900718

 

Accepting a Trustee's Deed conveying to the City property located at 2525 Euclid Avenue, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, commonly known as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Hospital building and property; authorizing the sale of said property to the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, for One Dollar; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That a Trustee's Deed conveying to the City property located at 2525 Euclid Avenue, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, commonly known as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Hospital building and property, and which is more specifically described in Appendix A which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, is hereby accepted for public use purposes. A copy of said deed is also attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a copy of this Ordinance in the Office of the Director of Records for Jackson County, Missouri, at Kansas City as evidence of the acceptance of said Deed.

 

Section 3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Special Warranty Deed conveying the property hereinbefore described to the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, for the sum of One Dollar.

 

Section 4. That this Ordinance, making provision for the immediate preservation of the public property, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Article II, Section 15 of the Charter of Kansas City, Missouri, and shall take effect immediately upon passage.
