RESOLUTION NO. 980115

Adopting a policy for the review and analysis of proposals for Neighborhood Improvement Districts for economic development.

WHEREAS, the Missouri General Assembly has authorized the financing of public improvements through the Neighborhood Improvement District Act, Sections 67.453 - 67.475, Revised Statutes of Missouri, as amended; and

WHEREAS, the City Council in Resolution No. 970501, adopted a policy for the review and analysis of proposals for Neighborhood Improvement Districts for residential development; and

WHEREAS, the City desires to establish a policy for the orderly review and analysis of economic development projects which may be forthcoming from interested developers; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Council hereby adopts the policy set forth in the attached document as the policy to be followed in review and analysis of economic development proposals for Neighborhood Improvement Districts.
