ORDINANCE NO. 051285

 

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter into and execute a $260,000.00 agreement with the Kansas City Terminal Railway Company; and authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $260,000.00 for the project.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, on behalf of the City, a $260,000.00 agreement with the Kansas City Terminal Railway Company, relating to the demolition and removal of the 21st Street and Brooklyn Bridge over the Kansas City Terminal Railway tracks, in Jackson County, Missouri, Project No. 89005539. The agreement shall be essentially in the form which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend an amount not to exceed $260,000.00 for the Citys portion of the project from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 06-1000-897702-B.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
