ORDINANCE NO. 970618

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $2,100,000.00 relating to the construction of the Chouteau Bridge and authorizing a First Supplemental Urban Agreement with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute on behalf of the City, a First Supplemental Urban Agreement Route 269, Clay/Jackson Counties, Job No. J4U1303C between the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission and the City of Kansas City, a municipal corporation of the State of Missouri, relating to the construction of the Chouteau Trafficway Bridge over the Missouri River, MoDOT Job No. J4U1303C, Project No. 5352, in Kansas City, Missouri, Council District 1. The agreement shall be essentially in the form which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $2,100,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 97-379-089-7186-T as and for consideration in the aforesaid agreement.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
