ORDINANCE NO. 080717

 

Authorizing the Director of City Development to execute an easement conveyance to Kansas City Power & Light for the construction and maintenance of appurtenances necessary to provide service to Fire Station No. 35, located at 4520 Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard, all in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and directing the City Clerk to file this ordinance and the attached easement conveyance granted to KCPL in the Office of the City Clerk of Kansas City, Missouri.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the City grants and reserves unto Kansas City Power & Light (KCPL), an easement conveyance to locate, construct, operate and maintain facilities upon, over, under and along the tracts of land outlined and designated by said easement conveyance herein. Said tracts of land are described as follows:

 

Two connected tracts of land 15 feet in width, located in and being a part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 27, Township 49 North, Range 33 West, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, the centerlines of which are described as follows:

 

Tract 1

 

A tract of land in the West of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 27, Township 49 North, Range 33 West of the 5th. Principle Meridian, being in the City of Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and being described as follows:

 

All of the North 15.00 feet of the South 50.00 feet of the West of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 27. Said tract also known as the North 15.00 feet of the South 20.00 feet of Aronsons Subdivision (now vacated) lying North of and adjacent to the North right of way line of 47th. Street.

Tract 2

 

A tract of land 15.00 feet in width generally located in the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 27, Township 49 North, Range 33 West of the 5th. Principle Meridian, in the City of Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, the centerline being described as follows:

 

Commencing at the Southeast Corner of said Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 27; Thence West along the South line of said Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter with a bearing of N.872957W., a distance of 982.73 feet; Thence North with a bearing of N.022135E., a distance of 47.50 feet to a point on the East line of the West of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 27, said line also being the East line of the now vacated Aronsons Subdivision and said point being the Point of Beginning; Thence East parallel with the south line of said Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 27 with a bearing of S.872957E., a distance of 21.13 feet; Thence Southeasterly along a non-tangent curve to the right having an initial tangent bearing of S.863156E., a radius of 2015.76 feet and an arc length of 217.17 feet; Thence East with a bearing of S.865912E., a distance of 13.03 feet; Thence Northeast with a bearing of N.330935E., a distance of 124.38 feet to the Point of Terminus at the face of a proposed building.

 

Section 2. That the Director of City Development is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, an easement conveyance to KCPL, to be in a form substantially as that attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to file copies of this ordinance and the attached easement conveyance granted to KCPL in the Office of the City Clerk of Kansas City, Missouri.
