ORDINANCE NO. 990341

Authorizing expenditure of an additional $500,000.00 in connection with the Citys annual contract with Lippert Mechanical Service Corp., for maintenance and repair of heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment at various City-owned facilities and approving the expenditure of previously appropriated funds in the amount of $500,000.00 therefor.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the additional sum of $500,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 99-100-089-7068-T as and for consideration on Contract No. 970128 with Lippert Mechanical Service Corp., for emergency repairs and maintenance of heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment in various City-owned facilities, which contract was previously approved by Ordinance No. 980697, passed June 25, 1998, increasing the total authorized expenditure in connection with said contract to not exceed the amount of $1,181,400.00.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
