ORDINANCE NO. 070143

Accepting and approving a $46,317.00 contract amendment with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services that provides additional funding for the Sexually Transmitted Disease Program; increasing revenue in the amount of $16,414.00 in the Governmental Grants Funds; and increasing appropriations in the amount of $15,439.00 in the Governmental Grants Fund.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That a contract amendment between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, acting through its Director of Administration, whereby the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will provide additional funding for the Sexually Transmitted Disease Program for the period beginning January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007, for a total amount not to exceed $792,660.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the amendment, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the Governmental Grants Fund is hereby increased in the following amount:

07-2480-500001-475220 Venereal Disease Control $16,414.00

Section 3. That the appropriations in the following account of the Governmental Grants Fun d is hereby increased by the following amount:

07-2480-505414-A Venereal Disease Control $10,693.00

07-2480-505414-B Venereal Disease Control 4,413.00

07-2480-505414-C Venereal Disease Control 333.00

TOTAL $15,439.00

Section 4. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $254,195.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 07-2480-505414 for the aforesaid contract.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
