Honoring V. Edwin Stoll on his appointment as Chairman of the Missouri Housing Development Commission.

WHEREAS, V. Edwin Stoll has recently been appointed by Governor Ashcroft to chair the prestigious Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) for the State of Missouri; and

WHEREAS, the honor afforded Mr. Stoll has come after his many years of community service to his neighborhood, to the City, and to MHDC; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Stoll has engaged in the practice of law in Kansas City since his graduation in 1979 from the University of Missouri-Columbia; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Stoll has served the legal community well in his practice and his involvement with continuing educational programs of his profession; and

WHEREAS, despite the commitment to his profession, Mr. Stoll has volunteered many hours in support of a broad range of community affairs; and

WHEREAS, he has served on MHDC since 1987 and has held the offices of Secretary-Treasurer and Vice-Chairman during his tenure; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Stoll now endeavors to assume the responsibility and obligations of Chairman of MHDC and to further his support of low to moderate income housing in Kansas City and throughout the State of Missouri; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That V. Edwin Stoll is hereby recognized and honored on his recent appointment as Chairman of the Missouri Housing Development Commission and that the Mayor and Council declare their best wishes to Mr. Stoll and express their appreciation to him for his commitment to provide low to moderate income housing; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council and that a copy be presented to Mr. V. Edwin Stoll in token of the esteem in which he is held by the Mayor and Council of Kansas City.
