ORDINANCE NO. 050180

 

Authorizing a one year lease agreement with Oak Barry Office/SDCL Trust or assigns, for lease and utility payments in the amount of $78,818.76 for Public Works field inspection office space and private parking area for vehicles located at 8516 N. Oak Trafficway.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a lease agreement with Oak Barry Office/SDCL Trust or assigns, for twelve months beginning November 1, 2004, for approximately 4,775 square feet of office space located at 8516 N. Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, at a rate of $78,818.76 for the year including utilities and private parking area to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 05-1000-891350-B and providing for options to renew the lease in one year increments for four consecutive years beginning November 1, 2005. A copy of the lease agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
