ORDINANCE NO. 001385
Accepting a Corporation
Warranty Deed from the Allen Family Corporation conveying to the City certain
property in Platte County, Missouri for public use as an addition to Tiffany
Springs Park and directing the City Clerk to file same.
WHEREAS, the
Council finds and determines that, by Resolution No. 25213 adopted by the Board
of Parks and Recreation Commissioners on September 19, 2000, certain lands were
acquired through purchase for public use for park purposes as an addition to
Tiffany Springs Park in Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, and said Board
has now recommended to the Council that the deed hereinafter described be
accepted for public use; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY
THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
pursuant to a certain Corporation Warranty Deed, recorded in the office of the
Director of Records for Platte County, Missouri, at Platte City as Instrument
No. 0012497 on Book 0932, at page 0161 the City Council hereby accepts said
property for public use for park purposes in accordance with Article III,
Section 58 of the Charter of Kansas City. The property is legally described as
follows:
All of
the Southeast Quarter except the south 10 acres of Section 4, Township 51,
Range 34, Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, said property having also at
times having been identified as the north 150 acres of Section 4, Township 51,
Range 34, Platte County, Missouri; also except that part deeded to State of Missouri
in Book 731 at page 733. Subject to easements, restrictions, covenants and
reservations of record, if any.
Section 2. That
Resolution No. 25213 evidences the intent of the Board of Parks and Recreation
Commissioners to accept such real property for park purposes.
Section 3. That
the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of this ordinance in the
office of the Director of Records for Platte County, Missouri, as evidence of
the acceptance of the herein described property by the City for public use
purposes.
