ORDINANCE NO. 121036

 

Authorizing the Director of Water Services to enter into a contract with Pyramid Excavation and Construction, Inc., for the Design-Build Water Main Relocations along Holmes Road project; authorizing the expenditure of approximately $1,350,000.00; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to execute this contract, on behalf of Kansas City, Contract No. 8867, Project No. 80001704, with Pyramid Excavation and Construction, Inc. A copy of the contract is on file in the office of the Director of Water Services.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $1,350,000.00, from Account No. AL-8072-808086-B, Water & Sewer CD6, to satisfy the cost of this contract.

 

Section 3. That this ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503 of the City Charter in that involves a public improvement, and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
