ORDINANCE NO. 080783

 

Rezoning an area of approximately 18.3 acres generally located on the east side of Blue Ridge Cut-Off and north of the Chicago, Rock Island, Pacific Railroad tracks from District R-1a to District R-3. (13685-P).

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0812, rezoning an area of approximately 18.3 acres generally located on the east side of Blue Ridge Cut-Off and north of the Chicago, Rock Island, Pacific Railroad tracks from District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings, Medium Density) to District R-3 (Low Apartments, Low Density), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0812. That an area legally described as:

 

All that part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 49N, Range 32W, Kansas City, Missouri, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 29; thence North 02 03'21" East, along the East line of said Northwest Quarter Section, a distance of 607.30 feet, to the point of beginning; thence North 86 59'45" West, parallel with the South line of said Northwest Quarter Section, a distance of 1077.10 feet, to a point on the existing Northerly right of way line of the Rock Island Railroad, as now established; thence North 51 12'22" West, along said Northerly right of way line, a distance of 217.69 feet, to the East right of way line of Blue Ridge Cut-Off, as now established; thence North 03 00'15" East, along said East right of way line, a distance of 201.40 feet; thence continuing along said right of way line, South 86 58'56" East, a distance of 35.15 feet; thence continuing along said right of way line, North 03 12'20" East, a distance of 328.71 feet; thence South 86 59'45" East, parallel with the South line of said Northwest Quarter Section, a distance of 1206.50 feet, to the aforesaid East line of said Northwest Quarter; thence South 02 03'21" West, along said East line, a distance of 657.50 feet, to the point of beginning, containing 18.3110 acres, more or less.

 

is hereby rezoned from District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings, Medium Density) to District R-3 (Low Apartments, Low Density), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0812, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
