ORDINANCE NO. 081215

 

Accepting and authorizing a $75,000.00 cooperative agreement with Jackson County through funds allocated by Jackson County Prosecutors Office (COMBAT); estimating revenue in the amount of $75,000.00 in the General Fund; appropriating it to the 2008-2009 Neighborhood Services Program in the General Fund account; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services is authorized to execute a cooperative agreement between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and the Jackson County Prosecutors Office (COMBAT), which will provide funding for crime prevention activities with an emphasis on youth development for an amount not to exceed $75,000.00.

 

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

 

09-1000-570000-481740 Jackson County Contribution $75,000.00

Section 3. That the appropriation in the following accounts of the General Fund are increased by the following amounts:

 

09-1000-572500-A Neighborhood Services $30,000.00

09-1000-572500-B Neighborhood Services 45.000.00

TOTAL $75,000.00

 

Section 4. That this ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503 of the City Charter in that it appropriates money, and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
