ORDINANCE NO. 041013

 

Approving the sale of property at 2742 Prospect; authorizing the Director of Finance to execute a deed therefore; and directing the City Clerk to file certain documents with the appropriate offices.

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 040765 passed July 8, 2004, declared the property in excess to the Citys needs for public use and authorized the sale by competitive bids; and

 

WHEREAS, the City by that competitive bid process, received a bid from Morning Stars Development Company, Inc, who offered $500.00; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Council hereby accepts the bid from Morning Stars Development Company, Inc. for the property in the amount of $500.00 located at 2742 Prospect and approves the sale of the property to them and hereby authorizes the Director of Finance to execute a Special Warranty Deed conveying the property. The legal description of the property is described as:

 

2742 Prospect: South 25 feet of Lot 2 and Lot 3, Block 1, Avondale, a subdivision lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

 

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of this ordinance in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, at Kansas City, Missouri, as evidence of the sale of the herein described property by the City.
