ORDINANCE NO. 920105

 

Authorizing a contract in the amount of $26,457.95 with Pool and Canfield, Inc. for construction of certain curbs, sidewalks, asphalt overlay and appurtenances on 69th Terrace between Paseo and Brooklyn.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the work of constructing curb, sidewalk and asphalt overlay over existing pavement and appurtenances on 69th Terrace between Paseo Boulevard and Brooklyn Avenue in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, Council District No. 5, Project No. 6427, is hereby provided for and authorized.

 

Section 2. That the work shall be done in accordance with the plans, specifications and the contract therefore between Kansas City, Missouri, through its Director of Public Works, and Pool and Canfield, Inc., a Missouri corporation, in the amount of $26,457.95, which contract is hereby approved and confirmed. A copy of the said contract is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works and is incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $40,458.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 9-40917-T as and for consideration in the aforesaid contract and for contingencies and engineering associated therewith.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
