ORDINANCE NO. 060653

Authorizing a five year lease agreement with the Historical Society of New Santa Fe for property located at 9901 Holmes Road for the Trailside Center.

WHEREAS, the Historical Society of New Santa Fe is currently leasing the property located at 9901 Holmes Road for the purpose of a community center, museum and educational center open to the public; and

WHEREAS, the current lease agreement expires June 30, 2006; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of City Development is authorized to enter into a lease agreement with the Historical Society of New Santa Fe for a five year lease, beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2011 with the rent for the term being $1.00 annually.
