ORDINANCE NO. 090052
Authorizing acceptance and
approval of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) grant in the
amount of $165,396.00; estimating revenue and appropriating the sum of
$165,396.00 to the Home Weatherization LIHEAP account in the Special Housing
Rehabilitation Loan Fund; designating requisition authority; and directing the
City Clerk to file the attached agreement with the appropriate offices.
BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services is hereby authorized to
accept a grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Low Income
Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), in the amount of $165,396.00 for the
purpose of increasing the resources available to meet the energy needs of
low-income people.
Section 2. That
the revenue in the following account of the Special Housing Rehabilitation Loan
Fund is estimated by the following amount:
09-6380-570001-476055 LIHEAP
Home Weatherization Grant $165,396.00
Section 3. That
the appropriation in the following account of the Special Housing
Rehabilitation Loan Fund is increased by the following amount:
09-6380-575318-A Home
Weatherization LIHEAP $161,896.00
09-6380-575318-C Home
Weatherization LIHEAP 2,000.00
09-6380-575318-E Home
Weatherization LIHEAP 1,500.00
TOTAL
$165,396.00
Section 4. That
the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services Department is designated as
requisitioning authority for Account No. 09-6380-575318.

there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation
to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance,
otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which
